Individual accounts
Intended for producers, individual accounts get a single user account for their livestock operation.
Example: Report livestock movements on behalf of "John Smith".
Organization accounts
Intended for large producers, corporations, dealers, feedlots or abattoirs, organization accounts get multiple user accounts to manage their operation.
When registering as an organization you choose a short unique organization code. This is used to group all of your users and data under a single organization.
Organizations have access to full user management features such as creating users, assigning roles, and managing organization information.
Example: Multiple users can report livestock movements on behalf of "JS Livestock Inc."
Which type of account should I choose?
If you answer yes to any of the following questions, we recommend registering as an organization.
- Do you operate under a business name?
- Will you need to create user accounts for other family members or employees, now or in the future?
- Will you have more than 100 livestock movements in a year?
- Is your livestock operation incorporated?
